In my work as a counselor and therapist, I focus on how we form relationships with other people. Whether in a partnership, in professional or family relations - relationship dynamics arise everywhere. They can become stressful and make it difficult to deal well with ourselves and others. Disputes and seemingly insurmountable differences arise.
Most individuals and couples reach a point, where it can be beneficial to bring in a third party to help identify underlying causes of problems and give space to important feelings. By doing this, the path to a trusting and loving relationship can become clearer once more.
My work as a photographer and documentary filmmaker has brought me closer to a wide variety of people and their life stories over a number of years. Taking different perspectives plays a big role here, as well as in systemic work. Each individual is influenced by their own story while also continuously playing a role in shaping it.
If we try to change our usual perspective, to see through someone else's eyes, so to speak, the possibility emerges to also better understand this person and their history.
In addition to systemic methods, I integrate mindfulness-based and emotion-focused approaches into my work.
